Children's Ministries
At Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, we welcome all young people to our Sunday Church School programs. We strive to create a positive learning environment where their faith can be nurtured and supported. At Resurrection, the community seeks to model Christian behavior through a caring relationship with the teachers, pastors, parents and the congregation
- Education starts at Birth with the cradle roll. Cradle Roll is the first phase of our education program. Cards are sent home to parents at 6-month intervals, which share ideas for encouraging spiritual development in children during these vital stages of development.
- Preschool children are active, so we offer them a variety of opportunities to make faith discoveries. In the Life Together Experience curriculum, we try to help learners make a connection between their faith lives and their every day lives. The children learn and grow in faith using the same scripture readings that are used in the worship service for the day. This helps you and your child to grow in faith together as you connect worship and learning with everyday life.
- Lower Elementary grade students learn to know God by feeling they belong in church, and that they are among people who care what happens to them. This age group, using Akaloo educational series, learns about the worship service, celebrating the sacrament, praying for others, singing faith songs and connecting these things to their every day life.
- Upper Elementary grades learn about their faith in Akaloo educational series by stories, learning about Lutheran tradition, and experiencing their faith together as a group.
